What is Vivitrol?

Alay Health Team is proud to offer VIVITROL, a non-addicting, pharmaceutical therapy injection treatment indicated for:

  • Treatment of alcohol dependence in patients who are able to abstain from alcohol in an outpatient setting.
  • Prevention of relapse to opioid dependence, following opioid detoxification.

VIVITROL should be part of a comprehensive management program that includes psychosocial support.

Patients should not be actively drinking at the time of initial VIVITROL administration.

VIVITROL is a once a month, long lasting injection therapy used in the treatment of alcohol addiction and prevention of opioid dependence relapse after detoxification.

Addiction has two major components: Psychological and Physical. Vivitrol works on the physical aspect of addiction by blocking the feelings of pleasure associated with the use of alcohol and opioid medications.

Counseling works on the psychological aspect of addiction and is highly recommended in order to achieve the best results from the use of VIVITROL.

Vivitrol injections are administered once monthly and given onsite at our clinic in Waukesha County in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Clients are welcome to come onsite for monthly treatment injections from any area of Wisconsin, including but not limited to Sheboygan County, neighboring Wisconsin Counties such as Jefferson County, Dodge County and Washington County and even the northern Wisconsin Counties.

Finding a VIVITROL provider is often challenging but at Alay, we proudly serve those who seek treatment!
